The other night I let loose and just sketched. When the mood is right, I love the way loose drawings come out. When projects get busy, I end up working in a routine, so this gives me a chance to come up with new ideas and details to add to my drawings… like these dots!

I was blown away by the feedback about my new class this September (sold out already!)… I’m so excited that you guys want to learn. If you missed this one, don’t you worry. There’s another exciting class on the way very soon. Stay tuned!

  1. That’s a beautiful sketch. I love loose sketching but I am quite the perfectionist and I focus a lot on details so I like pushing myself into loose sketching every once in a while to, like you said, come up with new ideas, as well as to develop my style.
Your classes are so exciting. You have been a huge inspiration to me for well over a year and I hope I can make it to one of your classes one day.

  2. Is it bad that I can totally see this being a wonderful neon pink fart cloud? Haha I’m repulsive maybe, but it looks like it. I love the neon fart, though.

  3. Just discovered your blog through Modcloth. Love your illustrations and am now following through Bloglovin. (I illustrate too.) Also congrats on the sold out class though I’m sorry to hear a company ripped off one of your illustrations for their t-shirts. That’s crazy they thought no one would notice! Hope everything works out where you get your fair share without too much legal drama.
