So excited to share this project. I recently teamed up with HP (and a few other artists!), to create watercolor worlds for a new interactive video with Ellie Goulding!

In true Cinderella spirit, I couldn’t have done this without the help of a few friends. Although instead of Jaq and Gus (and their cheery bluebird counterparts!) I tapped my incredibly talented friend, Valentina Kova, to help design the dress and bring it to life. Valentina is full of kind and infectious energy! Her designs have been worn by celebrities such as Lorde, Julianne Moore, Lady Gaga, and Julia Roberts.
As we were designing the gown, we decided that we must find our true life Cinderella. Without a second thought, we knew it had to be our friend Isabella Boylston. Isabella is a principal dancer in the American Ballet Theater, and possibly the kindest woman we know. She radiates with magic! So much so, that she is due to perform the role of the Fairy Godmother in the American Ballet Theater’s performance of Cinderella this coming June & July in New York City.
What a dream to bring a sketch to life…
Our final dress design.
Once we designed the dress, Valentina worked her magic in bringing the gown to life. A blue silk satin dress with sheer blue organza from the chest up, complete with hundreds of hand-sewed Swarovski crystals, covered buttons, and a blue satin bow. Oh, and who could forget the crystal slippers!
At last, the dress is ready for the ball!
We then asked our whimsically talented friend and filmmaker Meagan Cignoli to take things to the next level. Meagan worked her motion magic to bring the gown, Isabella, and the Cinderella spirit to life! Isabella spinning into a beautiful blue dream with a little help from her Fairy Godmother’s… Meagan and Valentina.
“A dream is a wish your heart makes when you’re fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for, you keep. Have faith in your dreams, and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.”
I love to imagine. My mind can get lost in just about anything; Taking a walk down the street… imagining what the birds might be chirping to each other… or how a flower blooms each Spring, and how wonderful that must feel after the long snowy winter we’ve had; to come back to life, colorful and radiant, soaking up the returning sun.
As an artist, I believe in taking a closer look at the world, in finding beauty in unlikely places. Like watching a seed blossom into a flower, or a vine unexpectedly sprout roses. Seeing things grow in the yard, in the windowsill, and in the world is what inspires my imagination, and inspires my art.
I created a short animation with Miracle Gro to launch their Gro Something Greater campaign. Imagining a world within the shadows…

You know better than anyone that I love to experiment with new mediums. I thought it could be beautiful to bring one of my illustrations to life with clay… Here’s a look at the process and a short video of her dancing along with her shadow.
Music: Charms by Abel Korzeniowski
Much like my previous paintings within puddles of paint, I took the fantasy one step further to create ballerinas within the two tones of paint. There’s something beautiful about working in such a simple form…Watch her come to life below.
Music | “Children Arrive” from the Finding Neverland Soundtrack (my all time favorite!)

After my first class, I found that many of you were interested in going back to the very basics of what watercolor is all about. Understanding one of the most enchanting mediums I’ve come know…
It brings me back to the day I was gifted my first set of watercolors. I remember sitting on a bench at the dining table in my parent’s house while my Aunt was down for a visit from Virginia. We sat there with my brothers for hours, painting away. She showed us how to make a color chart, which I intently worked on until I finished. I was fascinated! Something clicked (and thus began my many watercolors of horses). Watching my Aunt paint was another story- I loved watching the colors slowly form into an image. An image you may not have been able to guess right away, but then the “AHA” moment comes and you see it clear as day.
I invite you to join me in experiencing watercolor from the very beginning in my latest online Skillshare class. Sign up here!
Living in the city, it takes a bit more effort to take moments to surround yourself with the beauty of nature. Some of my favorite city moments are strolling through the flower filled Cambridge residences on Brattle Street in Harvard Square, stopping in my favorite flower shop, or riding my bike along the Charles River; these are places that keep you sane and grounded. Nature has a unique way of inspiring wonder and imagination.
Like Boston, New York City has hints of nature lurking on every corner… whether it be the many blooms outside each corner bodega, rooftop garden escapes, or a cruise through Central Park, nature gives the concrete jungle life!
This is why I’ve teamed up with Miracle Gro to create a short video to promote their GRO1000 project, which has hopes to create more than 1,000 community gardens and green spaces around the world by 2018. GRO1000 is dedicated to enriching communities through connecting with nature.

Being an illustrator, it isn’t everyday that you are involved in a fashion editorial shoot… so this was something new for me. It flooded my mind with ideas! One of my favorite projects to date… bringing fashion photography together with an illustrated world. Not to mention the inspiring team that brought this all together. It’s a magical thing when a group of people come together and just get it!
Join us on an illustrated adventure in this month’s Genlux Magazine…
I’m super excited to finally announce my first ever online class, Illustrating Your Favorite Runway Looks.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been working with Skillshare to create easy to follow video tutorials that will give you an inside look into how I create my fashion illustrations start to finish (and add the likes of glitter, crystals, and sequins!).
Here’s a little video we made to give you an idea of what you’ll see in the class…
Check out the full description and sign up here. I’ll be directly involved in the class, and helping you as we go along beginning March 11-23. However, since this is an online class, you can get tickets at anytime… I just won’t be guiding you through it on a personal level after these dates- all the more reason to sign up now!
I’ll also be hosting 2 giveaways for the class members who participate:
2/ The top two finished illustrations will each receive a set of three of my favorite illustration books from Laurence King Publishing:
Can’t wait to see what you guys do with your new skills!
