FAR FAR AWAY

Being an illustrator, it isn’t everyday that you are involved in a fashion editorial shoot… so this was something new for me. It flooded my mind with ideas! One of my favorite projects to date… bringing fashion photography together with an illustrated world. Not to mention the inspiring team that brought this all together. It’s a magical thing when a group of people come together and just get it!

GENLUX PROCESS

Throughout the past few weeks I’ve been working on a project for Genlux Magazine’s April issue! Daniel Castro and I teamed up to create a spring editorial story combining his fashion photography with my illustrations… a fantastical world that I’ll share with you tomorrow.

Here’s a look at some of my process illustrations from the collaboration. It’s amazing to look back and see how much things change from start to finish…

I started out with some rough story boards of our initial concept… it’s not hard for me to get my imagination to run wild with a world full of hot air balloons!

Then the world started to come to life with color…

PUBLISHED// RUE 11

Have you guys seen the new Rue? This issue I illustrated bloggers Amanda of 100 Layer Cake and Vane of Brooklyn Bride (both great blogs!).

I was so thrilled to see the feature on Erika’s favorite Boston shops… there’s a few I need to check out! Boston is small, but it definitely has a few hidden gems.

Oh… and this issue’s cover is so whimsical!
