i did this illustration a few weeks ago, and didn’t love it at first (no idea why)… but it has officially grown on me. and from the preview i shared today… you guys seem to like it too!

chanel iman sure knows how to pull off a sheer skirt (image from lula). i like this image of her too, it’s pretty fun.

man oh man. this week has really worn me out. the more i get into freelancing, the busier and crazier it gets! and i absolutely love it. but as much as i love it, i could use a margarita and a nice long weekend right now!

stay tuned for a new watercolor tip tomorrow!

What a beautiful illustration! :) I love how you used the reference photo while using colors different from the ref photo & adding glitter to her skirt!

Katie, are you still working as an in-house apparel designer? Sorry if you already answered this question somewhere on your blog. I come visit your blog almost every day but I’m sure there are many things on your blog that I’ve missed.

Question: can this be added to your etsy store? I just love her pose- and the colors- and the overall style of this one. The bagface is kind of weird, but that’s on whoever styled this girl. What a great painting, I really like it!
